4-Peppers Sausage Sandwich
• 6 brats or sausages
• 4 tbsp. olive oil
• 1 of each: red, orange and yellow bell pepper, cut into strips
• 1 jalapeno pepper, sliced
• 1 medium red onion, halved and sliced
• 4 cloves of garlic, diced
• 6 Sara Lee® Artesano® Bakery Sausage Rolls
Optional Toppings: Cilantro and scallions
Directions (6 servings)
1. Heat olive oil in frying pan on med-high heat. Add the peppers and jalapenos into frying pan, let sear about 2-3 mins, stirring frequently. Add onions. Let sear for another 2 mins, stirring frequently. Add garlic, reduce to medium heat, let sear for another minute. Remove sautéed vegetables from heat and set aside.
2. Prepare sausages as stated on the package. When sausages are cooked, place into your Sara Lee® Artesano® Bakery Sausage Rolls and top with sautéed peppers and onions. Add your favorite toppings to elevate your sausage sandwich and enjoy!
