Rummo No. 83 Lasagne, 1 lb
Rummo lasagne no. 83 has the wavy edges of lasagne traditionally made in southern Italy during carnival for the preparation of rich timbales made with pasta and meat.

Recipe classic lasagne no 83
Ingredients:
1 pkg Rummo Lasagne No. 83
4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
50 oz tomato purée
1 medium onion, diced
1 clove garlic
2¼ lbs ground pork
8 oz fresh mozzarella or fior di latte
16 oz fresh ricotta
½ cup dry white wine
1¾ cups grated parmesan
Salt and pepper to taste
Oregano and basil to taste
Serves 8 people
Directions:
Sauté the onion and garlic in a pan with oil, letting the flavors intensify over low heat for about 5 minutes. Add the ground pork and brown. Deglaze with white wine and let the alcohol evaporate. Add the tomato purée, salt, pepper, oregano and basil. Let simmer for about 1 hour over low heat.
In the meantime, bring abundant, salted water to boil in a deep pot, and cook the lasagne for 3 minutes, then let cool, following the traditional method for details.

Create the first layer by covering the bottom of a casserole with sauce. Add a layer of lasagne and cover with a mixture of ricotta and parmesan, then another layer of sauce.
Continue, adding layers in the same order until the ingredients are used up, keeping aside about 3 spoonfuls of sauce and 2 of parmesan.
Top with the remaining sauce, mozzarella (or fior di latte) and parmesan.
Cook in a preheated 350°F oven for 20 minutes. When done, the sauce should bubble and the cheese should be golden and crusty around the edges.
