Couscous is prepared by steaming the pasta for a quick five minutes to create a light and fluffy consistency for all kinds of inspiring dishes like our Roasted Seven Vegetable Couscous or our Couscous & Swiss Chard Tabbouleh. Cooking Couscous
1 cups water
¼ tsp salt (optional)
1 tsp butter or olive oil (optional)
1 cup couscous
Bring water to a boil. Add salt and butter or olive oil, if desired. Stir in couscous quickly. Remove from heat and cover. Let stand 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork and serve.
Yields approximately 2 cups.
