Goya Red Kidney Beans, 4 lbs
Classic red beans and rice
½ lb. Goya® Red Kidney Beans
2 tbsp. Goya® Olive Oil
½ cup smoked ham, chopped
½ cup onions, chopped
¼ cup green peppers, chopped
1 tsp. Goya® Minced Garlic
1 packet Sazón Goya® with Coriander & Annatto
¼ cup Goya® Tomato Sauce
1 tsp. salt
½ tsp. ground pepper
¼ tsp. Goya® Oregano Leaves
Cooked white rice
Sort and wash beans. In a large saucepan, soak beans in 4 cups of water. Do not drain. Meanwhile, heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Stir in ham, onion, pepper and garlic. Cook until tender. Stir mixture into beans. Bring to a boil then reduce heat. Cover and simmer until beans are tender. Add more hot water if necessary. Stir in remaining ingredients cook ten minutes longer. Serve over hot cooked white rice. Serves 4.
