Goya Pink Beans, 16 oz
Classic pink beans and rice
½ lb. Goya dry Pink Beans
2 tbsp. Goya Olive Oil
½ cup smoked ham, chopped
½ cup onion, chopped
¼ cup green pepper, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 paket sazón Goya con Culantro y Achiote
¼ cup Goya Tomato Sauce
1 tsp. salt
½ tsp. ground pepper
¼ tsp. oregano
Sort and wash beans. In a large saucepan, soak beans in 4 cups of water. Do not drain. Meanwhile, heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Stir in ham, onion, pepper, and garlic and cook until tender. Stir mixture into beans in saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer until beans are tender. Add more hot water if necessary. Stir in remaining ingredients and cook 10 minutes longer. Serve over hot cooked white rice. Serves 4.
