½ Ib. Goya® dry Great Northern Beans
4 slices of bacon
1 small onion, chopped
I medium carrot, chopped
1 can, (14.5 oz.) whole peeled tomatoes
1 packet Goya® Powdered Chicken Bouillon
1½ tsp. Goya® Sazonador Total Seasoning
½ tsp. Goya® Oregano Leaves
1 cup tubular pasta Grated Parmesan cheese
Fresh parsley, chopped
Sort and rinse beans in a 6 to 8 quart pot. Soak beans in 8 cups of water. Do not drain. Meanwhile, in a skillet, cook bacon until crisp; set aside. Drain bacon drippings leaving about 1 tbsp. in pan and cook onion and carrot until tender. Stir in tomatoes, bouillon, Sazonador Total and oregano. Add mixture to beans. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, cover and simmer until beans are tender. Add 1 cup of water and bring to a boil. Stir in pasta and bacon. Cook 8-10 minuntes or until al dente. Serve with grated parmesan cheese and chopped parsley if desired. Serves 6-8.
