Saucepan Gravy
1 cup broth
2 tablespoon Gold Medal™ Wondra™ quick-mixing flour
¼ cup cold water
Heat broth in 1-quart saucepan until hot. Stir flour into water; gradually stir into broth. Heat to boiling over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute.
One-Step White Sauce
1 cup cold milk
2 tablespoons Gold Medal™ Wondra™ flour
¼ teaspoon salt
⅛ teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoon margarine or butter
Mix all ingredients in saucepan. Heat to boiling over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute.
Cheese sauce (for vegetable, rice macaroni and egg dishes): Add ¼ teaspoon dry mustard and stir ½ cup shredded Cheddar or process American cheese into hot sauce until melted.
