Recipe

You Will Need:
Brownie batter:
• 2 tbsp. water
• 2 tbsp. vegetable oil
• 1 egg
Cookie dough:
• 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter. softened (room temperature)
• 1 tbsp. water

1. Heat oven to 325°F. Prepare 8x8-inch baking pan by lightly greasing or spraying with non-stick cooking spray.
2. Prepare brownie batter by placing water, oil, and egg in medium bowl. Stir until fully mixed. Add brownie mix and stir until well blended. Spread in prepared pan.
3. Prepare cookie dough by stirring together butter, water, and cookie mix until dough forms, hand kneading if necessary.
4. Scoop dough by rounded Tbsp. and gently flatten. Place flattened dough balls on top of brownie batter in 3 rows of 3.
5. Bake 33-36 minutes or until cookie top is lightly browned, center is set and edges have begun to pull away from sides of pan. Cool completely in pan before cutting.
• Do not eat raw batter or dough.

Peanut Butter Brookie Cups

Brownie batter:
1 pouch Ghirardelli Brownie Cookie Bar brownie mix
2 tbsp. water
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 egg
4 tbsp. crunchy peanut butter
Cookie dough:
1 Pouch Ghirardelli Brownie Cookie Bar cookie mix
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter, softened (room temp.)
1 tbsp. water
2 tbsp. crunchy peanut butter

Heat oven to 325°F. Line muffin pan with paper baking cups. Prepare brownie batter as directed above. Spoon 1½ tbsp. Batter into each muffin cup. Drop 1 tsp. Peanut butter on top of batter and swirl with knife. Prepare cookie dough as directed, adding 2 tbsp. Of peanut butter. Divide dough into 12 balls and gently flatten into disk. Place each disk on top of brownie batter. Bake 24-28 minutes or until cookie is lightly browned. Cool and remove from pan. If desired, melt 2 tbsp. Peanut butter and drizzle over top.
Note: can also be prepared as bars in a lightly greased 8x8-inch baking pan, baking as directed above.
