Potato Gnocchi with Sage Butter
6 tbsp. butter
1 (16-oz.) pkg. DeLallo Potato Gnocchi
1/3 cup fresh sage leaves, torn
1/3 cup grated parmigiano-reggiano
Freshly ground black pepper
Melt butter in a large skillet over high heat. Cook, stirring, until butter develops a light golden color. Be careful not to burn. Remove from heat.
Meanwhile bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add gnocchi. Once gnocchi floats to the surface, cook for another 30 sec.
Return brown butter to medium-low heat. With a slotted spoon, scoop gnocchi from the pot into warm butter and loss. Add sage and 2-3 tbsp. of gnocchi cooking water. Remove from heat and add 1/2 of parmesan cheese and ground black pepper. Top with remaining cheese.
Serves 4
