Quick & Healthy Marinara Sauce
Ingredients:
2 tbsp Cento Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 small onion, chopped
1 tsp Bellino® Minced Garlic
2 cans Cento Italian Whole Peeled Plum Tomatoes (14 oz), hand crushed
Cento Fine Sicilian Sea Salt, to taste
Cento Ground Black Pepper, to taste
Cento Basil, to taste
1 lb Anna® Pasta
Grated Romano cheese, to taste
Directions:
Heat oil over medium heat in a medium sauce pan. Sauté onion until translucent, then add garlic and sauté until gently browned. Pour in tomatoes and season with salt, pepper and basil to taste, bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for approximately 20 minutes, or until desired consistency is achieved. If a thinner consistency is desired, gradually add small amounts of water. Prepare pasta according to package directions. Pour sauce over cooked pasta and toss until pasta is evenly coated and top with cheese. Serves 6.
Store in a Cool, Dry Place.
Refrigerate in a Sealed Container After Opening.
